About Snout Academy
The journey to creating Snout Academy started back in 2018, although I didn’t know it at the time, when two adorable soft toy piggies were spied in a small tea shop in Scotland.
Originally bought for my daughter, Daisy and Percy became invaluable members of our family. Short stories created to entertain became a daily request and soon started to morph into adventures captured on film.
In 2020 I met Julia Black, founder of Light’s On and it was during this time that she saw potential in Daisy and Percy, gifting me with the vision that is now Snout Academy. Thank you Julia!
Fast forward 5 years and after much learning, and growing, I finally feel ready to launch Snout Academy, unleashing Daisy and Percy into the world, all the way from my home and heart into yours.
our aim
Our aim in Snout Academy is to create a magical space for children, sparking a love of learning through creative storytelling, encouraging confident communication and teaching simple digital literacy so they can experience the joy of making soft toy productions of their own.
Daisy and Percy are passionate about sharing stories that are fun, heart warming and contain virtues such as the importance of friendships, believing in ourselves, helping each other and understanding that we all make mistakes, especially when we’re learning something new.

Our wish is to spark curiosity and wonder within children. To become excited about the possibilities and magic that lies within them, and most of all we hope that Daisy and Percy light up the hearts of all those who watch them. 🐽
Imagine being able to sit down and watch your very own production, where your favourite toys come to life and are the stars of the show! 🌟
what’s included in the Academy?
In our 8 week course the children will receive the following:
1) An exclusive weekly episode from The Adventures of Daisy and Percy or Daisy Tales to enjoy.
2) A personal invitation each week to recreate a scene from that week’s show, gradually building up a portfolio of ideas for their final production.
3) A weekly editing tutorial, introducing simple tools that they can apply to their final piece of work. The app we use is CapCut.
4) Craft set design/simple props will also be included when called for. We use lots of cardboard boxes!
By the end of the course we aim to have provided the children with lots of ideas and skills to feel confident about creating their very own soft toy adventure.
On completion of the 8 week course, the children will be invited to create their very own short production, using the skills they’ve picked up during the course of the 8 weeks. They then have the opportunity to send their creation to us at daisyandpercy@snoutacademy.co.uk where upon they will receive a congratulatory video from the piggies, celebrating their win. The child will also receive a certificate on completion.
This is very much a child led course, where the individual has free rein. Daisy and Percy offer possible suggestions and ideas only.
Some grown up guidance may be needed depending upon your child’s age.
